Working with major record labels and specialising in the jazz and classical market, I conduct research into audiences on music streaming services, such as Spotify, and advise on how to best make use of available data about consumer behaviour.
Data Analyst, Universal Music Group, London, UK – Aug. 2017-Jan. 2018
Working as part of the UK Digital Partnerships team, I used consumer data to conduct research into the performance of new releases and existing catalogue on music streaming services. I provided regular performance reporting to the wider business and conducted more ad-hoc research related to consumer behaviour.
User Researcher Internship, Parliamentary Digital Service, London, UK – Jul. 2017
I undertook a two-week work experience placement with the user research team at the Parliamentary Digital Service. I gained hand-on experience conducting user interviews, observations and data analysis.
Teaching Assistant, University of Southampton, Southampton, UK – Jan. 2016-Jun. 2017
I was the seminar leader for the third-year module on the Creative Economy, run by the Department of Geography. The course explored how the creative economy and cultural industries are being shaped by geographical processes related to globalisation, digitisation and flexibilisation.

Qualitative Research Methods
I have training and experience conducting qualitative interviews with a range of participants, including elite interviews, and I have experience using visual methods within interview situations. I have experience using thematic analysis and familiarity with other data analysis approaches for qualitative data.
Written and Verbal Communication Skills
I have developed strong written and verbal communication skills and feel confident communicating my ideas in a range of formats. I have published work on music recommendation and presented at conferences around the world on the topics of music streaming and music recommendation. SQL, Microsoft Excel and Tableau
I have intermediate SQL skills and familiarity with the Google Big Query platform. I am comfortable writing queries involving table joins, nested queries and aggregate functions. I am comfortable manipulating data in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables and LOOKUP functions. Furthermore, I am familiar using the data analysis software, Tableau, for creating visualisations and dashboards.
